Mark Becker is an abstract expressionist painter and sculptor whose work is inspired by nature, the political arena, and the cultures he has experienced through his travels. He has a unique palette of color and use of form. His sculptures in steel often employ elaborate shaped, flame-cut steel sheets that slip together. His castings in plaster often use found objects as a casting mold.
